About the Artists
Hitoshi Tomimori (b. 1970, Kagawa, Japan) is a painter and contemporary artist whose practice centers on painting as a physical act and an embodiment of energy in motion. Since establishing his studio in Tokyo in 2000, he has pursued painting as a process of transformation, using layered color, gesture, and the trace of bodily movement to give form to the dynamic flow of existence.
He has held multiple solo exhibitions at Honenin Temple in Kyoto, including THE SYMPHONIA 2025, THE INITIAL REVOLUTION (2023), and Bone and Space: Shadow and Form (2021). Internationally, he has participated in major art fairs in Milan and Lugano, and exhibited in New York at The Nippon Gallery.
HitofumiTomimori (b. 1970, Kagawa, Japan) is a sculptor working primarily with hand-forged metal. His practice investigates gravity, balance, and the conditions of existence within space. Through recurring spherical forms and carefully constructed structures, his work emphasizes physical weight, tension, and spatial presence.
He has presented sustained solo exhibitions at Honenin Temple in Kyoto, including THE UNIVERSE (2025, 2023), Formless (2022), and the gravity series (2020–2021). He has also exhibited extensively in the Kokuten Exhibition in Tokyo and received the Governor of Kagawa Prefecture Prize in 2023 and 2025.
Further details about the exhibition will be shared soon.
We look forward to welcoming you.
